Joyce Lee
Vice President Poultry Health Division of Pfizer Animal Health

Joyce Lee is responsible for providing worldwide strategic and operational directions to the Poultry Health Division of Pfizer Animal Health. Lee is responsible for all business functions of the division including research and development, engineering, manufacturing, global marketing, and commercial operations.

Lee has held the positions of Vice President of Worldwide Business Technology and Representative Director at Pfizer Animal Health Korea and the Project Leader for Embrex Integration. Lee’s industry experience includes healthcare consulting, information technology, transportation, financial services, human pharmaceutical and animal health.

Lee received a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) from Baylor University and a Masters of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Jacksonville University.

 

Jim Gerardot
Group Director, Global Marketing, EuAfME, LA and Mexico Commercial Operations

Jim Gerardot joined Pfizer Animal Health in 2001 and is currently responsible for delivering global marketing strategy and tactical support to the Poultry Health Division of Pfizer Animal Health. Gerardot is also accountable for commercial operations in EuAfME, Latin America and Mexico.

Prior to his current role, Gerardot had responsibilities in US Marketing, US Feedlot Operations and Global Livestock New Products Marketing.

Gerardot began his career in the animal health industry in 1985 as a field sales representative for Hoechst (now part of Intervet) and spent 10 years in positions of increasing responsibility before taking a global marketing position in Merck (now Merial). After 5 years with Merck/Merial, he spent a year as the VP of marketing, business development and operations for DirectAg.com, an Internet startup company.

Gerardot holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science and Agriculture Economics from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

 

Steve Clarken
Group Director, Commercial Operations, US, Canada, Asia and Australia

Steve Clarken is responsible for managing the commercial operations in the United States, Canada, Asia and Australia. His team includes sales, technical service and customer service.

Before his role as Group Director of Commercial Operations, Clarken was the Group Director of Beef Operations for Pfizer Animal Health. In that role Clarken was responsible for the feedlot, cow calf and stocker divisions, which included sales managers, sales representatives, and technical veterinarians across the United States.

Clarken began his career in sales and marketing and went to Pfizer Animal Health in 1987. Since then Clarken has held increasing roles of responsibility, such as Professional Sales Representative, Industry Specialist, Business Coordinator for the US and Canada, Product and Marketing Manager for feed additives and biologicals, Area Sales Manager southeast US, Regional Sales Manager for feedlot, beef, and dairy areas, Director of the beef business, and Group Director of Beef Operations.

Clarken received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from South Dakota State University.

 

Lowell LaFreniere
Senior Director Device Design Engineering and Assembly

Lowell LaFreniere is responsible for organizing device design and operations at the Poultry Health Division of Pfizer Animal Health. His role includes managing the mechanical and electrical design, programming, building, testing and troubleshooting automation for the in ovo injection business. LaFreniere joined Embrex in this role in 2005.

Prior to his role as Senior Director Device Design Engineering and Assembly, LaFreniere worked for 16 years in medical device development for Teleflex Inc., H.D. Bronson Company and Mechanical Products/ US Surgical Corp., and was an automotive product engineer for Echlin Inc.

LaFreniere holds a Masters of Science Degree in Engineering Management at the University of Bridgeport and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.

 

David Kelly
Senior Director of Product Management, Inovocox

David Kelly is responsible for establishing and managing the Inovocox vaccine for the Poultry Health Division of Pfizer Animal Health. Kelly has three years experience in this position.

Prior to his role as Senior Director Product Manager for Inovocox, Kelly has over 20 years experience in global marketing, sales management and business development of poultry health products at Merial, Schering Plough, Embrex and now Pfizer Animal Health.

Prior to entering the animal health industry, Kelly’s experience comprised of eight years with product development and market introduction of crop protection products in the United States and Latin America.

Kelly holds a Masters Degree in International Business Administration from the Garvin American Graduate School of International Business Management at (Thunderbird) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Resource Management from Arizona State University.

 

Diana Maria Alcazar, DVM
Viral Biological Product Manager

Diana Maria Alcazar is responsible for establishing and managing the biological product line, which includes the Bursaplex vaccine, for the Poultry Health Division of Pfizer Animal Health. Dr. Alcázar joined Embrex in this role in 2000.

Prior to joining the company, Dr. Alcázar worked as an independent consultant for several of the poultry vaccine companies. Previously she was the Business Manager Biological Products for Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica with responsibility over the Andean Region. She also worked as the Area Manager for the countries of Northern Latin America at Solvay Animal Health with responsibility for the development and implementation of regional sales, marketing and technical services plans.

Dr. Alcázar received her degree as a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine from La Universidad de La Salle, from Bogotá, Colombia.

 

Jason Fryar
Product Line Marketing Director, Devices

Jason Fryar is responsible for developing and implementing the global device strategy for the Inovoject System, as well as the Inovoject System Egg Remover and Vaccine Saver. He is also responsible for working with the regional operations and sales teams to support any operational needs, sales growth, and customer focused marketing opportunities including new device product launches, branding, and customer sales and service support. Fryar has been with Embrex since 1992.

Prior to his current role, Fryar spent time installing the Inovoject system in the United States and Canada. He also has worked in manufacturing and rebuild and was the Global Operations Manager, where he worked with other regions to coordinate and standardize Embrex’s service organizations and equipment maintenance programs around the world. Fryar then served as the Director of Manufacturing, coordinating all device manufacturing until 2001, where he became the Product Line Marketing Director for devices.

Fryar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Masters of Business Administration from NC State University.
